These are so delicious. The best thing is that these kebabs are so simple to make and yet really flavoursome! They go really well with a lovely, cooling cucumber and yogurt dip. To make them slightly different, I have coated the kebabs with finely chopped red and green peppers which give a slight crunch and add a bit of colour. You can prepare this in advance and also make little balls with toothpicks inserted in them to make a great cocktail starter. Have a go and you’ll see how easy they are to make!

Lamb Kebabs

Serves 4

 

Ingredients

800g Organic Minced Lamb

2tbsp Coriander and Cumin Powder

1tsp Turmeric

1tsp Garam Masala

4 Cloves Garlic- Crushed

1tsp Ginger Paste

Salt to taste

Large Handful Chopped Coriander

1tbsp Finely Chopped Mint

3 Fresh Chillies- Finely Chopped (optional)

Finely Chopped Green and Red Peppers/Capsicums- As much as you want to use

Wooden Skewers for Cooking, Soak in water to prevent burning in the oven- Optional, if you do not have any, then just make a kebab or ball shape and cook.

 

Method

In a bowl, mix all the above ingredients apart from the peppers with your hands as this will ensure all the flavours are mixed thoroughly. Take a large ball of the mixture onto your palm of your hand and start to form a sausage shape. Flatten the shape and place the skewer into the centre. Then start to for a sausage shape around the skewer until majority of the skewer is evenly shaped and covered. Roll the skewer onto the green and red peppers and place onto a baking tray. Repeat this process until all the skewers are done. Cook in a preheated oven at 190-200c for 15-20 minutes. You can also grill these kebabs but I prefer to bake them as there squirt less.

Serve hot with cucumber and yogurt dip and sliced onions and tomatoes. Delicious!

 

For the Cucumber and Yogurt dip; you simply grate half a cucumber and mix it with 3tbsps of yogurt, ½ tsp mint sauce, salt and 1tsp sugar.
